IPL has shifted from Chennai

Eventually the alarm came true. IPL is to be removed from Chennai Kali Vishwanathan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Chennai Super Kings said that the decision has been taken keeping in view the current security situation in the state of Tamil Nadu.

The experience of playing outside of home home for Chennai is not new. In 2014, they played all their home matches in the seventh edition of the IPL, in Ranchi. Six matches will be played outside of their own home.[Link]
