Soda and Food Stamps

New 4 Jax posted on Facebook inquiring what people thought of the new law banning soda from Food Stamps and I started reading all the comments and just couldn't believe half the stuff I was reading! So this was my comment!

Wow just smdh at all the ignorance in the world, no wonder we're going to hell in a handbasket! I can't believe the judgement and the lumping together of totally different people and situations. What the hell is wrong with you? Stupid comment #1 Change the entire process. STOP big business lobbying to get their products on the approved list.
Instead, have nutritionists develop simple lists of approved natural and healthy food ingredients and ONLY those will be eligible for EBT purchases.
IF people are hungry and need temporary assistance from WE that pay those taxes then allow these people in need to ONLY buy healthy ingredients for meals they will prepare at home for themselves and their families with hardly any processed and packaged crap - no candy - no cookies - no ice cream - no unhealthy soft drinks or other crud.
Wow, just wow. So spend more money trying to accomplish the first statement not to mention tell people what they can and cannot eat! Then these people who either work or are disabled or just don't get enough food stamps (because regardless of what people think, they don't get shit for what they really need according to their income) are then supposed to only buy the expensive things that are healthy from a list with no processed or packaged at all and spend hours preparing and cooking these meals for their family! Wow just wow! I don't know what else to say but wow at the selfishness, the ignorance, the closemindedness, the willingness of more government control and so much more! Think about what you wish for people, next they'll be coming after something that matters to you unlike eating which is what matters so much to these people!
