In Lviv, a wind power plant with a capacity of 20.7 MW was opened, capable of providing energy to more than two districts of the region

In Lviv region in Starosamborskiy district a new wind power station with ten wind installations was opened. The total capacity of the station "Old Sambor-2" is 20.7 MW, the cost of the project is more than € 36 million.

This wind farm is located in the headwaters of the Dniester River, in the western part of the town of Stary Sambor on the lands of the Starosamborsk City Council and the Strilbichi Village Council for 74 km from Lviv and 40 km from the Ukrainian-Polish border. The power plant will be able to supply two and a half districts of the region with electricity.

The beginning of the implementation of the project of the "Stary Sambor-2" wind farm was laid on November 3, 2016. Then, within the framework of the XVI International Economic Forum "Lvivschina - the Factory of Europe", the Carpathian Wind LLC jointly with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Nordic Environmental Finance Corporation (NEFCO) signed a loan agreement.

In addition to this wind farm, this year in the Lviv region also opened four modern solar stations.

Come to the Kherson region. There are plenty of winds and sun. Wind turbines and solar panels have become commonplace. More and more people are building non-volatile homes.
