Hurricanes, Fires, and Earthquakes, Oh my!

The amount of natural disasters that are/have been occurring is astounding.
Harvey left so much destruction, at least 70 people dead, so many people displaced, pets abandoned. My dad went down to Texas with supplies and to offer a helping hand, to quote him, "it's fucking real, the looks on people's faces told an incredibly sad story".

Irma is threatening Florida, after already destroying parts of the Caribbean islands, it is having it's way with Cuba currently. Winds of 185 mph, with gusts reaching 218 mph, this is not a wait and see storm, if you are in it's path, it is being suggested that you leave rather than sheltering in place. The last update I viewed showed it was nearly to the tip of Florida already. Irma is the most powerful hurricane ever recorded in the Atlantic Ocean and she is not alone.

There are two, yes, two more hurricanes in the Atlantic Ocean right now, Jose and Katia.
They are to the east and west of Irma and Jose will likely add insult to injury, after Irma is through. It is uncommon for this many hurricanes to be occuring simultaneously.

Katia was actually beating up Mexico (via heavy rain) as the 8.1 magnitude earthquake decided to quite literally shake things up.
It has been a 100 years since an earthquake this strong has hit, over 50 people are dead, and again more people displaced. It hit hardest in areas that are already impoverished.
Oh, Did I mention that a tsunami is also occuring there? It is small so far, but could produce waves of up to 10 feet high.

I can not imagine losing my home, my family.

Dozens of wildfires are also occuring, most notably in Montana and Oregon , but unbeknownst to me until about 10 minutes ago, Idaho is also ablaze. Wildfires occuring at this time of year, is not necessarily an uncommon event, but it still sad. Widespread, hundreds of thousands of acres, partly due to decreased rainfall this year. The large Oregon fire is being blamed on unintentional arson.

Sending love and positive vibes to anyone who has been or could be effected by any of these things.

Mother nature is pissed.
Stay safe.
