A US Navy Persian Gulf boat has fired shots
to armed Iranian patrol boat. According to US official news an Iranian ship during a tense encounter in the US Navy's boat. The Pentagon confirmed shots were fired in the Persian Gulf today after the Iranian craft came within 150ft of it.
US Defense officials said the Iranian boat is thought to have been operated by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
They said that despite warnings with radio calls, firing flares, and five short whistle blasts. – The Iranians did not respond to any warnings from the US ship and carried on sailing towards the Navy boat.
