Canadian Sikh Jaspal Atwal, convicted of trying to assassinate an Indian cabinet minister in 1986 attended events with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during his visit to India.
Atwal attended a prime ministerial event with the Indian film industry in Mumbai on Tuesday, where he posed for photographs with Trudeau’s wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau.
A senior official from Justin Trudeau’s office says an invitation to Jaspal Atwal was a mistake and was corrected as soon as it was found out.
If the government invites convicted assassins to their events, how can we trust them with the safety of this country?
Atwal has met with Justin Trudeau several times:

“We will always stand against violent extremism, but we understand that diversity of views is one of the great strengths of Canada” - Justin Trudeau
It's so hard to believe, we're the laughing stock of the world. Much like when his old man was running the show.
