It's a shame they've patented their technology. Would have been nice to see this kind of idea spread faster!

Thank you for your comment, @leonard.vincent! We agree with you. However, even with the patent, other countries such as Bhutan seem to have very happily been able to utilise the idea. And in any case, Vasudevan did say he would make the technology more available to other countries once it's made headway in most of India.
