I lost my internet yesterday at home and can't really sit without internet as I have some office works to complete. As I was about to leave my house, I saw one locust sitting on my balcony but it fled away as soon as I arrive. I didn't really care about it as I thought it was just a normal grasshopper. I head towards @thepeakstudio house to work from his home. As I was about to reach home, I saw swarm of locusts in the sky from the West. Damn moron already make entrance to the valley. A heroic crow in the picture above. Catching the locust as prey.

However there had been no damage on the crops in Nepal caused by these swarms of locust but researchers predict there is more to come from Nepal and it may cause bad damage of crops anytime. Some maize fields especially in the southern part which has border to India, had been damaged by these voracious insects. In sum, the farmers had suffer a small loss due to locust invasion in Nepal. Last time the locust invade Nepal was in year 1962.

It's monsoon season currently in Nepal- the period with great rainfall and increase in green vegetation especially in Hill and Terai region. So, it might further aid these locusts to diversify in number due to the environmental conditions suitable for their growth. Meanwhile some people are capturing these insects and eating them. Some are selling them. It is said these locusts taste like chicken and is greater source of protein. I am hoping that they won't create any misery for Nepal's farmer.
