With All The Push Back Against Ineffective Trump, What Resistance Would a Ron Paul Receive?

in news •  7 years ago

I had a thought recently, maybe some of you might share the perspective.

Trump is proof of how bad it has all become. Not exactly because it's him in the White House but because of how far the nation has fallen.

Here's the perspective, Trump is tinkering around the edges and barely moving the needle with anything he is doing...and people are freaking out. Can you, those Ron Paul voters from 2012, imagine someone willing to takes it as far as Ron...and how much push back he would have gotten?

There are some very big problems but people are worried about what he tweeted. Or about an unproven Russian collusion... Which doesn't even matter anymore...or at least it shouldn't.

But no budget, no spending cuts, no removing Obamacare, no tax cuts, and really nothing that substantial is going on...even for all the fear the left seems to be pushing...

Trump could never even get to reform of Social Security (a $30-40 trillion liability), or Medicare/Medicaid reform (another $30-40 trillion liability), or Defense (trillions more)....you know the problems big enough to crash the whole economy...

My point being, if they can't handle Trump doing what equates to very little in comparison...how could they ever handle some one willing to eliminate entire departments or shut down welfare and subsadies or faze out Social Security or close the 900 bases around the world, bring all the troops home, and stop nation building?

I try to stay optimistic....but when I look at what seems important to the masses verses what is important to someone with even a basic grasp of Economics...it's hard not to be a little concerned!

It is a great article sir.. thank you so much for sharing.. keep it up.. How long are you writing post on steemit sir...?

Since February or so. Thanks!

Im glad you're pointing trumps issues aswell, im always skeptikal of trump shills. Even though i took part in a cnn meme or two, mainly beause I hate cnn. Americans got ripped off in terms of candidates.

We have the same problem in Australia. Our conservative party became progressive and our progressive part went bat shot crazy left.

I hope that some level of freedom and sovereignty comes out of this.

Absolutely. I posted a lot of CNN Memes as well because too many people believe that they are in objective news source. I don't support Trump and I did not vote for him. But I find myself defending his position against the most asinine "news sources".

I feel sometimes like I need to preface every one of my remarks with "Yes, I hate trump to but..."

Mate I don't want to ask for followers because I hate that too. But if our content is complimentary would you consider a mutual follow
I have found it hard to find like minded accounts who post good content and prepared to support each other. Especially for anything liberty/freedom of speech related. Steemit seems really "progressive" to me.
Ill follow any way to see if we're on the same page. It is so difficult working without large account support.
