Political “El Clasico” convincingly won by Madrid!

[Текст на српском] Carles Puigdemont, president of Catalonia, had a bit problems to understand the old rule at first, but he did got it eventually. What “old rule” you ask? The one that says: “THERE IS NO INDEPENDENCE WITHOUT WAR”.

Thousands of Catalan “Independists” who were waiting Puigdemont's “Independence Speech” went home disappointed. They may think their leader didn't have enough “cojones”, but he actually saved Catalans and Spanish from a disasterous clash. They also had a chance to learn what a big bunch of balooney is all that fairy tale of “democracy”. They live in a totalitarian regime, not much different from Franco's (and under protection of one even more ominous totalitarian Empire in construction). Just look at the yesterday's statement of the People's Party (PP) spokesman:

“Perhaps the one who declares it [independence] will end up like the one who declared it 83 years ago”

— Pablo Casado, spokesman for the People's Party

The spokesman was apparently referring to Lluis Companys, the president of Catalonia who proclaimed a 'Catalan State within the Spanish Federal Republic' in 1934. He then had to flee the country, and was tried for military rebellion and executed in 1940.

So, the Independence of Catalonia is postponed. I could bet it will be indefinitely. And now, there is one more important question. How long people can people suffer under totalitariansm without rebellion?
