BLANGPIDIE - Southwest Aceh District Police (Abdya) prohibits motorbikes from exhausting racing following the Takbiran parade to welcome the Eid al-Fitr 1 Syawal 1439 Hijriah planned on Thursday (6/14/2018) tonight.
Abdya Police Chief, AKBP Andy Hermawan SIK MSc through the Head of the Police of Abdya, Iptu Adek Taufik SIK said the ban on motorbikes exhausting racing following takbiran was the result of a joint meeting with the Abdya Government and a number of related parties.
Vehicles with exhausts are not allowed to follow takbiran. Because it was feared that it would damage the sacredness of the takbiran night, said the Head of the Police of Abdya, Iptu Adek Taufik SIK told Serambinews.com.
In addition, he said, open-air vehicles that contain a lot of people, as well as large trucks are also not allowed to participate, because it is feared prone to cause traffic accidents.
We do not want at this moment of victory, there are parties who are afflicted by grief due to the accident, he said.
Moreover, he continued, the police together with the Abdya Regency Government are committed to enliven takbiran by prioritizing safety.
If anyone is found, we will act firmly, especially motorbike wearing exhaust can not be allowed, he stressed.
The takbiran parade is scheduled to start in the courtyard of the Abdya regent's office divided into two groups.
The first group with the Blangpidie route headed to Babahrot District and returned to Blangpidie.
Meanwhile, the second group from Blangpidie to Kecamatan Sabil and returned to Blangpide.
