Then, what is Diphtheria? Diphtheria is a disease caused by bacterial infections that commonly affect the mucous membranes of the nose and throat, and can sometimes affect the skin.
Diphtheria includes infectious diseases of the guys and includes a disease with a serious infection that is potentially life-threatening for children as well as adults. However, do not worry too much guys, diphtheria symptoms can be recognized, really.
Well, quoted from the page nhs.uk, diphtheria can be known at high temperatures, about 38⁰ C or even more. Signs can also be seen, one of which is if there is a grayish membrane that covers the back of the throat.
In addition, if already infected with diphtheria disease, your baby will also feel the heat cold, sore throat, hoarseness, cough, headache, to difficulty when swallowing. Well, the more alarming symptoms are the patient will have difficulty breathing, swollen glands in the neck, nose bleeding, pale face and blue skin.
Symptoms of diphtheria usually develop from 2-7 days since a person is infected with the disease. However, this disease can be prevented through vaccinations that can be given since the child was two months, four months, and six months, with a certain time interval.
So, if you have found the above symptoms on your baby's body or other adult body, then the first thing you should do is not to panic! Well, after that, immediately consult a doctor.
Yup, enough of my discussion of diphtheria. Keep an eye on the symptoms. Remember! do not panic and immediately take it to the doctor once you find the disease. Lastly, always keep our family, especially ourselves, to stay healthy ya guys!
I hope your country can handle it safely, in Nigeria we took very aplaudable care of Ebola, it's didn't spread to more than 12 people, we won. I wish you the same or even better.
