This is revealed by the latest review of Kaspersky Lab, where it is seen that the search for free porn carries dangers for your mobile.
The cybersecurity firm Kaspersky Lab released its latest review on mobile malware, entitled "Cyber threats that face users of websites and applications for adults", where of the total of infected, 17% is the fault of porn.
In this study, 23 malware families using pornographic content were identified to hide their malicious functionality.
According to the investigation, pornographic applications tend to have persistent advertising that at the moment in which the user clicks (or tap, in this case), they subscribe to some WAP (SMS) pay service that exhausts your mobile credit.
The other type of malware are the video players, supposedly pornographic, that are designed to access your banking information. Others rightly take your phone prisoner demanding payment as a ransom, as happened with computers in the busy house "Wannacry".
From Kaspersky give the following recommendations to prevent your phone from being affected:
Use only legit websites. Often, cybercriminals create fake pornographic sites with the sole purpose of infecting victims with malware.
Do not install Android apps from unknown sources, even if they promise you access to the content you were looking for. Instead, use official applications from trusted sources, such as Google Play.
Avoid buying hacked accounts for pornographic websites. It is illegal and these accounts may be blocked at the time of purchase.
Use a reliable Internet security solution that can protect all your devices against any type of cyber threats.
