The New York Jets allegedly claimed wide beneficiary Lucky Whitehead off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys on Wednesday.
Whitehead, 25, was set on waivers this week after news broke that he had been accused of shoplifting in Virginia in June. Whitehead broadcasted his ingenuousness, which was affirmed by the Prince William County Police Department on Wednesday when it was cleared the man captured was not Whitehead.
Whitehead stood out as truly newsworthy a week ago when he reported via web-based networking media that his dog, Blitz, was kidnapped and being held for money. He later declared via web-based networking media that”the blitz” had been returned unharmed.
