I dunno anything about cannabis to even say something about it, that's just his words from his experience. If it's giving you what you want from it, it will be difficult without a scientific data..but even those can be manipulated to believe.
Patients can do anything they want, even when they are ignorantly refusing something that's beneficial to them. But then again, medicine doesn't always work 100%.
So..i'll say "puff away" if that's what makes you happy, just don't blame anyone when you become so unwell from it. It might never happen so what do i know ;)

puffing away is not the point and I wouldn't recommend to anybody. I always recommend to give their weed to me. but thats a different story.

Supertrue. But some scientists/ researches deserve some credibility. It was the America government itself who cancelled an research about cannabis probably they were hoping a negative outcome(lungcancer) and when they found out t.h.c. could help fighting cancer they stopped the research, this happend allready in 1974

here a little girl who suffering from epilepsy, 14 seizures a day... then they found out about thc.. Judge for yourself
