The Outsight company has presented a camera that, according to its creators, is able to interpret the information it receives.

This camera is based on a broadband and low power laser, capable of providing relative information about the size and if the object moves and at what speed it does, something that is very useful for autonomous driving.

It can even detect the material composition of objects and reliably capture people, vehicles, water, ice, snow or oil on the surface of a road and assess possible risks.

As its creators claim, this camera has applications for automated driving cars from level 4 to 5 and will also be very useful for robots, drones, robo-taxis, etc.

There is no doubt that, sooner rather than later, our streets, oceans and airspace will be filled with autonomous gadgets.
