Although for most of us mortals, interplanetary travel is nothing more than science fiction, it seems that there are people who don't think the same, and not just Elon Musk.

At the Institute of Aerospace Medicine of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in the city of Colonia, the biomedical Ruth Hemmersbach, manages an army of researchers from the most varied disciplines.

They seek to understand how a trip to the Moon or Mars could affect the bodies and minds of travelers and how to counteract or mitigate those effects.

For this they have built Envihab, an installation that resembles a space station on land, where they can study the effects of oxygen reduction and the decrease in environmental pressure, among others.

Among a large number of scientific experiments, there is one for which 16,500 euros are paid to anyone who manages to stay in bed for 60 days in a row.

You can google to see if there are places left.
