India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has seen the flood situation in Kerala today on Saturday morning. He announced financial assistance of Rs. 200,000 to the families of the dead and Rs. 50 thousand rupees from the injured families. At the same time, the state announced a relief of Rs. 500 crores.
On Friday, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarai Vijayan said that the number of people killed in the last 10 days in his state has increased to 340. Last Thursday, there were 324 people. The Chief Minister further said that in the history of Kerala, the highest number of people died this year. Last 1924, there was severe flooding in Kerala. Then again this horrible flood again.
