Transfer of Income Tax ID to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh

Dhaka: The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has given Income Tax ID to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for regular income tax. Simultaneously, he has been congratulated by the acceptance plaque for establishing a bright illustration with regular tax from 1982-83 fiscal year.

NBR chairman Nazibur Rahman handed over the Income Tax ID to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the cabinet meeting on Monday (November 13th).

Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith and State Minister for Finance Abdul Mannan were also present.

According to the sources, NBR has taken initiatives to collect tax at grassroots level, revenue dialogue, tax education and various other activities, including taxpayers' income tax waiver, income tax camps, revenue haltsa and union digital centers for collecting tax.

Now, using the National Identity Database, NBR introduced the Income Tax ID card introduced. There was a lot of response among taxpayers.

They have also called it as their partnership for the country's development to match the income tax held from 1 to 7 November.

This year, Income Tax ID has been given to the government minister, state minister, parliament member (MP), cabinet secretary, chief secretary, chief coordinator, senior secretaries of different ministries, secretaries and officials.

Likewise income tax workers have received ID cards, governmental and non-governmental organizations working in different levels.
