How many of you use 2FA authentication?

in news •  5 years ago

Have you ever used 2FA authentication for your social media account? If not, then implement it to prevent your account from hacking, because today I read a shocking news that Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s account has been compromised.

Twitter is a big social media platform which is not only used by common people, but also you find there celebrities and politicians. If Twitter CEO’s account is not safe, then what will happen with common people?

After Twitter Inc. accepted the fact, the price of TWTR fell 0.164 percent. However, the investigation is being done to find out the stranger who hacked Jack Dorsey’s account.

This incident not only hit Twitter’s reputation, but also it shows the importance of having 2FA authentication for all the platforms to protect user’s data. It is very useful for active crypto traders and users that are earning crypto online. Recently, the stealing of cryptocurrencies has been increased and 2FA authentication is the best option to stop them. You need to have 2FA compatible mobile phone like android, iOS, etc to use it. I have already implemented 2FA authentication on several platforms that I am currently using. There are still several people who either don’t know about 2FA or are not using it for their account. I would like to suggest them that if you want to prevent your account from being hacked, then immediately implement 2FA authentication for all your social media accounts that are important for you.

I use Last Pass authenticator whenever possible:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lastpass.authenticator

It's like Google authenticator only without Google. Don't rely on Google services.

Twitter “give us your phone number to secure account” is a scam and as we now know won't help a bit.

I never used this authenticator. Is it reliable?

Sure. Never had a problem. Works everywhere where Google Authenticator works.
