On the 28th, the office of the State Council of the people's Republic of China held a press conference on health reform and development during the 13th Five Year Plan period. The reporter learned from the meeting that during the 13th Five Year Plan period, China's average life expectancy increased from 76.34 years in 2015 to 77.3 years in 2019, and the national maternal mortality rate, infant mortality rate and child mortality rate under five years old decreased from 20.1/100000, 8.1 ‰, 10.7 ‰ in 2015 to 17.8/100000, 5.6 ‰, and 7.8 ‰ in 2019, respectively.
