After the death of two students of the capital city of Shahid Ramziz Uddin Cantonment School and College, 51 cases were filed in connection with violent incidents and social media incidents of movement with safe roads. So far 97 people have been arrested in these cases. DMP news reports have been told that they have been arrested since the beginning of the 29th of July Movement till last Saturday.
DMP News said 81 people were arrested in 43 cases filed under the Penal Code and Special Powers Act. Police are actively trying to identify people spreading rumors in this movement.
In the case of violent incidents and social media outrage in the movement, 31 accused were arrested in 14 cases in Ramna division, of which 10 cases were filed against unknown people. In the 14 cases, 13 are investigating the concerned police and a case is being investigated by the DB police. A case was filed in the Lalbagh division with the arrest of 1 unknown person and 50-60 people. Police have arrested one in the case.
