This Ashwin is out of the Indian ODI team since 2017. He has contributed to winning many major tournaments. One website wrote that Gambhir should consider his name for this World Cup because he is a leading spinner who has 300 wickets in the Test. So if I want someone to replace Kuldeep and Chahal, then I will choose Ashwin.

This Ashwin played against the West Indies in June 2017 in the last ODI. This Ashwin has 150 wickets in 109 ODI innings. His best ODI performance is 4 wickets in an innings and 25 runs. Ashwin has also been charismatic on many occasions in T20 Internationals. He has taken 52 wickets in it. While earlier he has performed brilliantly many times.
