JERUSALEM - Israel seems to have a plan to wipe out Al Aqsa Mosque. This is reflected when US ambassador David Friedman ambassador poses with a computer-made skyline poster. On the poster there was a Jewish temple standing at the site of the al-Aqsa Mosque that had been removed.
The photo was taken during Friedman's visit to Bnei Brak Town in Israel near Tel Aviv hosted by Achiya, an NGO that helps students with learning problems.
The photos were immediately reap a strong reaction from the public. The US embassy in Israel later argued that Friedman did not know the details of the controversial poster when he was photographed. Achiya apologized for the poster. "The US policy is completely clear: we support the status quo at Haram al-Sharif / Temple Mount," the embassy said in a statement, quoted by Haaretz, Wednesday (23/5/2018).
Intentions to destroy al-Aqsa Mosque and Dome of the Rock have been voiced by right-wing Israeli activists. The al-Aqsa Mosque which is the first mecca of Muslims wants to be destroyed to make room for a Jewish temple known as the Third Temple.
One of the callers for the destruction of the Muslim holy mosque is Oren Hazan, a member of the Knesset (parliament of Israel) from the Likud Party. He has promised to destroy al-Aqsa Mosque.
