The world's first fully 3D printed restaurant is now a reality, thanks to work from a Westminster lecturer.
All of the dishes at restaurant FoodInk are 3D printed by robot chefs as diners watch, and the furniture and cutlery has been created using the same technique.
Arthur Mamou-Mani, a lecturer in architecture at the University of Westminster, was part of the team that helped to bring the futuristic idea into the present.
He worked on the restaurant's 3D food printers, which recreate delicate geometric designs in chocolate and other food, as well as designing some of the world's first functional 3D printed furniture, which is used in the diner.
