In its latest monthly report, released Tuesday, the EIA predicts that US oil production will increase by 680,000 bpd to 10.01 million bpd in 2018, compared to the previous forecast of a year-on-year increase of 650,000 bpd to 9.96 million bpd .

The agency also expects demand for US crude to increase by 320,000 bpd in 2017, compared with a May forecast of an increase of 290,000 bpd. By 2018, demand would increase by 310,000 bpd from the previous forecast of 300,000 bpd.
