The Government of Argentina will grant "special treatment" to Venezuelan students regarding "administrative formalities of recognition of studies", motivated by the situation that Venezuela is going through.
Resolution 232-E / 2018 signed by Education Minister Alejandro Finocchiaro states that they are exempted from the requirement of legalization of educational documentation that must be made by all foreign students who choose to study in Argentine institutions.
The purpose of the measure is "to allow the entry and exit of students to educational establishments throughout the Argentine Republic, as long as the democratic order persists in that country."
Background
The resolution points out that on April 1, 2017, in the "Declaration of the States Parties of Mercosur on the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela" the "rupture of the democratic order" in Venezuela was confirmed.
And he adds that there is a "significant volume" of requests for revalidations of foreign university degrees from that country, so it is pertinent to "provide a comprehensive response" to the needs of foreign professionals who have entered Argentina, from Venezuela , due to the situation in the country.
Finally, it says that the measure will allow "the incorporation into the national cognitive matrix of the expert skill of these professionals" in order to complement the professional offer, filling the gaps that the socio-productive sectors demand, reported the Globovisión news portal.
