The Pope said in his speech that peace can only be achieved through "respect for justice and human rights". They also called "every ethnic group and respect for its identity".
Pope Francis called for honoring rights and justice in the much anticipated speech on Tuesday (November 28) in Myanmar but they did not mention any allegations of Rohingya or ethnic cleansing. With this alleged ethnic cleansing, the Muslim minority of the country has been displaced from a large number of countries. Sharing the forum with the capital, Myanmar's leader Aung San Suu Kyi at P Taaw, they did not mention any of the Rohingya crisis. In his speech, he said that peace can only be achieved through "respect for justice and human rights". They also called "every ethnic group and respect for its identity". Francis will go to Bangladesh on Thursday (November 30). Suu Kyi mentioned the challenges faced by the country in her address but she did not even talk about Rohingya.
On the other hand, the 'Freedom of Oxford' honor has been withdrawn with regard to inaction in dealing with the Rohingya refugee issue of Myanmar's 'State Councilor' and Aang San List and to blindfire the eyes of violence in the country. Because of the violence, more than six lakh people had to leave the country and go to Bangladesh. The Oxford City Council voted 72-year-old Suu Kyi on Monday (27th November) in favor of permanently withdrawing the honor given in 1997. Consulner Mary Clarkson said, "Today we have taken an unprecedented step to withdraw her highest honor from her city because she was inactive during the oppression of the minority Rohingya population.
"He said in a statement, "We hope that today we have mixed a little bit of voice with those people who are talking about human rights and for the sake of Rohingya people for justice." More than six lakh Rohingya people migrated to Bangladesh after military action in Myanmar's Rhein Province. Myanmar last year signed a deal with Bangladesh for refugees returning home. Oxford City Council said that Suu Kyi's title of Freedom of City was given because she was representing the city of 'intolerance and internationalism'. But now their inaction was noticed.
Thank you for your support, you have been wonderful to me and hope in your vote.
With respect,
