THE ISIS HUNTERS OF SYRIA.

"The ISIS Hunters define themselves as a unit composed of those who lost their families and their homes; those who have nothing left but their land and hatred of their enemies. Despite being trained by Russian Spetznas , only Syrians who have suffered a significant loss at the hands of the Islamic State can be 'hunters'," says a report of the 14 mm portal on Jamel , one of its members.

Formed by the Russian Special Forces, known as Spetznas , the "Isis Hunter" participated in their first battle in the recovery of Palmira, one of the oldest cities in the world whose historical heritage was partly destroyed by the Islamic State during its occupation .

It is a voluntary force by nature and serving in it does not amount to regular military service in the Syrian Armed Forces, although training restricts entry, since an Isis Hunter must be familiar with all combat specialties, according to expert Aymenn Jawad Al- Tamimi .

Its members affected by the crimes of the Islamic State are a moralized body that participates as vanguard units to make way for the Syrian Arab Army in the most complicated battles against these terrorists. That is why it was created when Syrian President Bashar Al Assad ordered a counteroffensive in 2017 in the province of Deir az-Zor .

"We will rebuild Syria even if all countries are against us, we are young and we may not return but we do not mind losing our lives in order to avenge our loved ones," says Jamal, one of its members.
