2 Killed in Highway 11 Crash

RED DEER COUNTY - A three vehicle crash on Highway 11 yesterday afternoon claimed the lives of two people. Blackfalds RCMP were dispatched to the collision at 4:30 p.m. on Highway 11 between Range Roads 283 and 284 near Alberta Springs Golf Course. Two females in an eastbound SUV were declared deceased on scene. The cause of the collision is still under investigation but icy roads were a factor. Its believed the eastbound SUV lost control due to the ice and was struck by 2 westbound vehicles.
