One of the results of the U.S. refugee resettlement program that has taken migrants from third-world countries and placed them throughout America is the proliferation of Somali immigrants throughout Minnesota. This taxpayer-funded ‘cultural enrichment’ has led to more violent schools.
Southwest High School in Minneapolis, MN is in shambles as school administrators find it increasingly difficult to keep the peace as Somali transplants feud with black students. According to Alpha News, a chaotic brawl was videotaped and put on Youtube that featured over 20 students joining the melee. The video was later taken down.
“During the middle of B-lunch, we have three lunches–A, B, and Ca fight broke out between two students. Specifically, two at the far end of the lunchroom and as they started fighting, other students got into the fight to support their friends in that fight. Staff was present throughout the entire lunch,” assistant principal Tara Fitzgerald said.
No police officers were called into the scene, but 15 “student resources officers” were called in from other schools to help calm the situation. As a result of the fracas, hall passes were banned for the entire week, students were denied open access to bathrooms, and a pep rally was cancelled. Students are becoming angry that everyone is being punished for the acts of a belligerent few, and parents are growing increasingly concerned about the safety of their children.
“[My daughter] does not feel safe at school right now, and canceling the pep-fest, not having passes, and sitting at lunch are not long-term solutions and it is not fair to the vast majority of students who are doing their jobs,” a mother said during a contentious community meeting.
Refugee resettlement watchdog Ann Corcoran says that this is far from an isolated incident, and believes that these types of conflicts due to the resettlement of third-world migrants into America are hidden from public view by design.
“Although we know that the conflicts between Somalis and African Americans are more widespread and not limited to Minnesota, rarely does the media report on the tension,” Corcoran said in a blog post.
“My guess is that these incidents are not brought to the public’s attention because it goes against the PC multiculti myth… that those of the same brown skin color couldn’t possibly hate each other, but we have seen that clearly in the xenophobic unwelcoming black South Africans as well,” Corcoran said.
