The Carnegie Council Calls for Global Governance to Regulate Geoengineering

Another example of how power corrupts or is it that we are just incapable of making decisions for the greater good when our own self interests are negatively affected?

Is this a instance of corruption compounded by ignorance or another example of inherent human failings. I'm more frequently wondering would AI be corrupted by self interest this way?

Would AI be better at making these decisions for mankind as a whole?

How long before this is all decided by AI?

It seems to be getting smarter and smarter every day, it already builds AI better than us, what if we asked it's advice on matters like this?

Much more likely that AI is already being used for management of this programs.
The decision is already made decades ago, dont be fooled.

I figure alphago ai is in the public field and they had stealth fighters in 1976.Black budget created AI is already making all the decisions. The data NSA et al collect is to feed its intelligence rather than clumbsy manual searches by human analysts, that is a front for creating the infrastructue to house the data. Oh and Merry Christmas.
