Steemit is experiencing growing pains it seems. There's a lot of bots and accounts that are not contributing their own content, but just resteeming other people's work for a fee.

If these become the trend-setters then a lot of niche content will die out and Steem won't reach it's full potential.

      I have a problem with these re-steem for a fee only folks. The best way to stop this is to not follow those who only re-steem. I have no problem with people who post their own content and re-steem for a fee just the ones who this is their only reason for being on steemit. Solution do not follow them, no followers equals no market to re-steem.
