While I like the article, I disagree. Yes, tensions are high and if anyone is going to start a nuclear war it will be Trump. That said, there's too much at stake politically for war to break out.
The tough talk out of both Trump and Kim come from a desire to show domestic populations that they are the "bigger man". It's meant for domestic consumption.
Walk down the streets of Seoul tomorrow... no one is preparing for a war. Same with the North Koreans... Same with Washington... Same with Japan and China.
And for a military man to say on Fox News that "we are much closer to war than we have ever been with North Korea" is a load of garbage. Clearly he doesn't remember the 1950s, when they were actually at war. Or 1994, when both Koreas were on a de facto war footing.
