In Santiniketan, the amount of land in Bangladesh building is equivalent to 8 bighas or about 2.75 acres. The building has a modern auditorium of 453 seats, two seminars, libraries, museums, cafeteria and archive studios.

There are two seminars on the bottom floor of the building, each with 160 seats. If necessary, the seminar is possible to remove the intermediate sliding folding partitions of both of them as a multipurpose hose.

On the south side of the building there is a museum of about 3000 sqft jayagajura. Here are the places for exhibition related to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangladesh and the poet Rabindranath Tagore.

After entering the ground floor, there is a courtyard inside the building. There is a natural light coming in the yard and in the rainy season, it will be enjoying the words of rainy season and amusement. In order to promote the culture and culture of Bangladesh, a fair can be organized in this yard or can be used as a Milan Mela.

About 1,300 sq ft space in the double room of the library building. There is also a studio and a faculty room in the double room.

There is a cafe of about 1000 sq ft in the left side of the stove. There is an arrangement for open ceiling outside the café.

During the visit of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to Bangladesh in 2011, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina proposed to build Bangladesh Buildings in Santiniketan. The Indian prime minister agreed to it.

Based on the discussions with the Bangladesh government in 2014, the Visva-Bharati authorities identified the land near the Indira Gandhi Center in East Palli.

In 2015, the approved government of Bangladesh Government of the proposed Bangladesh Bhaban was handed over to the Visva-Bharati.

According to the design of the government, the construction of the building is done, said university engineer Kallol Datta Mondal.

He said, "Two-way mural of Bangabandhu and Rabindranath are in the middle of the entrance to this building."

The construction work has been done by NBCC (India) Limited, Government of India, said the Project Executive (Civil) Chandan Sen of the organization.

The government of Bangladesh has financed the construction of this building, which is about 35 crore taka in Bangladesh money.
