Bomb blast in Somalia killed 30

At least 30 people have been killed in a car bomb attack in Somalia's capital Mogadishu. The country's police said this.

Police said a lorry carrying explosives carrying explosives near a hotel entrance was exploded. In this, 30 people were killed and several others were injured. In addition, a second bomb attack in the city's Medina area was carried out. It killed two people.

It is not immediately clear who attacked. Al-Shabab, a militant group affiliated with al-Qaeda, has often carried out attacks in Mogadishu. The organization is fighting with the government forces.

After the explosion, police officer Mohammad Hussein told Reuters, "It was a truck bomb. There have been incidents of casualties. We do not know the actual number. The venue is still burning.

A BBC Somali reporter at the scene said that Safari Hotel collapsed near the scene. Many people are believed to be trapped in the brick field.

Mohidin Ali, a resident of Mogadishu, told the AFP news agency that it was "the biggest explosion I've ever seen. It destroyed the entire area.
