A very traditional club with a lot of history is on the verge of collapse as owner Dr. Tony Xia seeks potential investors to take over the club amid fears of a winding up order. Villa lost the premier league play-offs narrowly to new boys Fulham.

 Members of the executive board will meet on Wednesday to consider how to solve the club's financial crisis and discuss how to raise the funds needed to pay the £2m outstanding tax bill, which could prompt a winding-up order within days.
