New Line cinema and director Andy Muschietti, are already prepping for a sequel to the reboot of Stephen King's IT.

The movie is out in September and is based on the King's novel and the 1990 TV movie. The book follows the lives of a group of kids in Derry, Maine who as kids were terrified by a clown called Pennywise, and now as adults that horror comes back to haunt them.

In an interview with Variety, Muschietti said about the proposed sequel: "We’ll probably have a script for the second part in January. Ideally, we would start prep in March. Part one is only about the kids. Part two is about these characters 30 years later as adults, with flashbacks to 1989 when they were kids."
