Stakeholders take Facebook to court

in news •  7 years ago

In the aftermath of the Cambridge Analytica data leak, a group of Facebook's stakeholders decided to go to court and ask for a compensation.

The Facebook stock fell 6% on Monday and 4% yesterday (Tuesday) after it was announced that Facebook leaked data of more than 50 million of its users to a data processing company in UK. The data would have been used last year to influence public opinion, in favor of president Trump. Stakeholders are asking for a settlement after Facebook would arguably have voiced false and misleading statements.
