Are you a fan of Mario Kart? If your answer was affirmative, this news is for you. The company HOCO Entertainment and Resorts revealed its plans to build a go kart track, which will have a design based on the Nintendo franchise. The circuit will be called Niagara Speedway and, as the name implies, will be in Canada. To be exact it will be located in Clifton Hill, a theme park near the famous waterfalls of this town.
The company aims to provide a unique experience, since Niagara Speedway will be the largest circuit of its kind in North America. The track will have a 3-level design, where there will be ramps and spiral descents, reminiscent of the first Mario Kart tracks.
It is important to note that the circuit is not directly linked to Nintendo or its series of racing games. However, promises competitions that no doubt every fan of Mario Kart will enjoy to the fullest. Below, you can see what the progress of this project looks like:
HOCO Entertainment and Resorts hopes to open the doors of Niagara Speedway sometime in the spring of 2018. About 193,194 kilos of steel have been used in its construction, as well as 6500 bolts to assemble its different sections.
It is not the first time that they try to take Mario Kart's action to real life. As an example we have the collaboration between Nintendo and West Coast Customs, which produced reproductions of some cars of the game. On the other hand, in Japan they organized real races based on this title and Hugh Jackman got caught in the middle of one.
Also, the game has been brought to virtual reality thanks to Mario Kart Arcade GP VR. Visit this link to learn more about this franchise, which is already the best-selling racing title in history in the United States.
