The title of this blog, "War of the Waves," is not of my own origination. That title belongs to an article posted long ago at ADST.org. The full title of that article is "War of the Waves: Combating Espionage in Embassy Moscow". As you can guess from the full title, the topic in that post is the incident of continual microwave beams that were directed against the U.S. embassy in Moscow during the Cold War. That drama has been recounted on a few television documentaries. If you are not familiar with the old story, here is a brief YouTube synopsis.

It has been assumed that thousands of Americans suffered injuries that ranged all the way up to cancer and leukemia as a result of the Soviets' beaming of microwaves at the embassy building. One can argue which tragedy was greater: the fact that the Russians were deploying this technology or the fact that the U.S. State Department kept covering it up under orders issued by Henry Kissinger, even keeping its own personnel in the dark about the danger of serving at that location. I mention all of that as historical context to the strange stories that have been trickling in all year with regard to the American diplomats in Cuba who have been suffering extreme health issues and brain damage as a result of a so-called "sonar cannon" or "sonar weapon" that has now affected at least 21 diplomats.

The U.S. State Department does appear to be completely baffled at the source of the waves or even who is responsible for deploying the weapon. [See State Dept briefing linked here.] Remember, just because the attacks are happening on Cuban soil doesn't necessarily mean that the Cuban government is the perpetrator. As with the USS John S. McCain incident, it doesn't really make much sense for a sovereign nation to attack the U.S. government in this way. In view of recently restored relations with the U.S., Cuba doesn't have much to gain by harming a couple of dozen diplomats.

Drowning in a Pool of Ultrasound

I won't belabor this story too much. I find it interesting mostly as another link in a long chain of devices and technology that are now using Directed Energy as a weapon, whether that application be aimed at an individual or at an entire galaxy (much more about that in the future.) And if you're wondering what my choice of Salsa dancers as the thumbnail image for this story has to do with anything, I will say that I have noticed that traditional folk dances in all cultures seem to be passing on a memory of a forgotten technology, a technology produced by specific acts of spinning (torsion) accompanied by certain other geometric positions - but I'll save all that for another day.

For those of you who would like to follow-up on the speculation of the source of this sonar attack, I found this article at Gizmodo [linked here] to be enlightening. Joseph Pompei, a former MIT researcher and psychoacoustics expert, is quoted as explaining this to the Associated Press interviewer:

"Somebody would have to submerge their head into a pool lined with very powerful ultrasound transducers" for sound to cause brain damage and concussions. And Dr. Toby Heys, Leader of the Future Technologies research center at Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK, told New Scientist last month that directing ultrasound into the ear cavity could theoretically cause permanent hearing damage but it would require precision targeting with a clear path.
So, somehow, this technology is possibly "drowning" those poor people's heads in a "pool" of sound waves. The victims reported a wide range of strange effects as the attack was happening to them:

The officials who were not authorized to speak on the record said that “at least some of the incidents were confined to specific rooms or even parts of rooms with laser-like specificity, baffling U.S. officials who say the facts and the physics don’t add up [!!].
In several episodes recounted by U.S. officials, victims knew it was happening in real time, and there were strong indications of a sonic attack.

The attacks seemed to come at night. Several victims reported they came in minute-long bursts.
But in other cases, the victims didn’t hear or feel anything before their symptoms began. The list of afflictions has expanded to include “brain swelling, dizziness, nausea, severe headaches, balance problems and tinnitus, or prolonged ringing in the ears.” And on Tuesday, the State Department announced that two more Americans have been added to the list of victims that now includes 21 cases.
As mentioned above, the State Department does appear to be genuinely at a loss to explain exactly what type of device is causing these effects. It is also at a loss to explain what the motive is behind such an attack.

Warning Shot Across the Bow?

Joseph Farrell has been following the Cuban sonar story as well. He opined these comments earlier this week [linked here]:

The primary difficulty with this hypothesis, as I indicated in my previous blogs on these subjects, and again in my blogs earlier this week about the murder of Malaysian ambassador Raza, who is, or was, handling the debris transfers of Flight 370 from Madagascar to Malaysia, is that Russia has no real motive to send messages via these methods for the simple reasons that it exposes their possession of such sophisticated technology in return for very little, for note that if Russia is sending such messages, Washington appears not to be receiving them, or at the minimum, not listening to them. This implies that someone else might be sending the messages.
But either way, to my mind it seems at the very least a possibility that mind manipulation technologies were in play in the naval incidents, and in Cuba, and one cannot rule out extra-territorial players, willing to send such messages in a way that Russia and its satellites might be made to look like the culprits.
I would agree with most of that, with one exception: the recent news about Venezuela and their dumping of the Dollar.

Those of us who have been following the efforts made by various oil-producing world leaders this century to ditch the dollar were holding our breath earlier this week when President Maduro ordered his oil traders to stop accepting the U.S. dollar as payment for Venezuela's precious export. Didn't we half-expect a blockade of U.S. naval destroyers to show up any minute now at Venezuela's Puerto Miranda? Surely Caracas is due for a healthy dose of shock-and-awe "freedom and democracy"?

But no such action seems to be forthcoming, so far.

Therefore, I will submit to you that the incidents involving the USS Donald Cook, Fitzgerald, John S. McCain, and even this ongoing Cuban mystery have sent a message loud and clear: "Back off, Washington. The Dollar has seen her day." It may be that Russia/China are behind the Cuban sonar attacks - or - it serves their purpose to let you think they are responsible. Either way, as of the posting of this blog, Washington appears to have no reply.
