Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan has reportedly joined the production process for the freelance film Shazam! which is titled Black Adam.
Reported by The Hollywood Reporer, Brosnan will play a character named Doctor Fate who is told as a superhero and will face Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson).
Doctor Fate himself is one of the characters in DC Comics, which has several versions. The original Doctor Fate version first appeared in a comic titled More Fun Comics # 55 which was released in May 1940.
The original Doctor Fate was created by writer Gardner Fox and comic artist Howard Sherman. This character is told whose real name is Kent Nelson who has many powers, including telepathy and teleportation.
Previously, Doctor Fate had appeared in the television series Smallville, which focused on the Superman character. In the series Doctor Fate played by actor Brent Stait.
Doctor Fate's appearance in Black Adam will be the first time in a film. That way, the character will automatically be included in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) film franchise.
