The artist creates incredible pictures on ordinary pumpkins

Halloween is just around the corner, and soon everything will be creepy and awesome! It's time for frightening costumes, grotesque make-up and, perhaps, the most interesting lesson of all: carving around the pumpkin!

Alex Wer, also known as the "pumpkin geek" - the real king of pumpkin art! He started his "orange empire" during Halloween 2009, when his wife asked him to cut out the pumpkin logo of her company. That his creation did not deteriorate over time, instead of the usual pumpkin, he used a craft.

Soon after, he began receiving orders from other companies and even orders for children's portraits carved on a pumpkin.

The process of Were's work, which he calls "four-color technique," includes a thread on several levels of depth: the first layer is cut out completely, then two different layers and the last, fourth, layer is designed for the darkest areas of the image.

Recently, Ware makes the fifth layer to achieve an additional level of detail. Each amazing image, carved on a pumpkin, takes 4-6 hours of work, depending on the level of complexity.

In 2013, Ware was awarded the Geekie Award for the best craft / art. After widespread recognition, his career has gone up, and since then he has carved pumpkins for ESPN, Legendary Entertainment and Netflix.
