Micky Gray has touted Peter Reid as the perfect manager for Sunderland following Simon Grayson’s sacking on Tuesday night. The Black Cats released a statement shortly after their 3-3 draw with Bolton Wanderers to confirm Grayson’s departure from the club. Reid, who managed Sunderland between 1995 and 2002, guided the Black Cats to consecutive seventh place finishes in the Premier League – a feat the club have only managed once since.
