Divorce was earlier a taboo in India, but things have changed now. The divorce rate have increased drastically. People are more open to breaking the marital bond and sometimes the reasons are so bizzare that it makes me wonder if they are nuts.

One among the other bizzare divorce news that was published on the internet was that of couple in their early 20's. The couple got married a year ago and had filed for divorce through mutual consent. The counselor tried making them stay together, but the reason she cited actually made the counsellors realise that this relationship is dead.
The 23 year old woman wanted divorce from her 25 year old husband because he stinked. She said that he went on without a bath and shave for around 6 to 7 days at a stretch. Well, she could easily request him to have a bath, but she thought divorce was a better option.
Her parents however were against her idea and demanded that she reconsiders her decision, but the girl was adamant. The man however didn't want a divorce, but gave up on saving the marriage and decided to stay separately for 6 months after which they would be granted divorce.
