The political side of delaying the Kavanaugh confirmation. Where are we headed?

Are the Democrats purposely trying to extend and delay the Kavanaugh confirmation? Yes.

It is exactly what they are doing. The GOP had it done to the Democrats and now they're going the 'eye for an eye route'. Why?

Sometimes, you have to fight fire with fire. I hate having to prescribe to the lesser of two evils conundrum that is our current two party system. Merrick Garland gave the Democrats a reason to push back.

They likely were going to fight the confirmation anyways but the GOP gave them a good reason to fight it.

The GOP didn't help their cause by deciding their guy was Kavanaugh. Out of all the conservative judges in the country, Kavanaugh is the guy you give all your eggs to?

They must have known he could very likely drop the basket. Or, at least the Dems would be trying to push him over.

Kavanaugh spoke on how the Democrats were coming after him, looking for anything. Yes.

And they found it Brett.

Now, Kavanaugh must go back on past statement where he claims he never drank so much that he never didn't remember what happened. That statement was not backed by his OWN character witnesses.

Then, you couldn't back up another previous statement where you said you were totally open to an investigation...by avoiding a question about supporting an FBI investigation.

It's just a shame to continuously see politicians behaving in this way. Not a surprise, just a shame.

Clearly participating in a process where the game is more than just right or wrong.

The GOP's behavior doesn't make them look good , only desperate. You might be able to say the same for the Democrats but as far as I'm concerned they are behaving in a normally destructive way where as the GOP has gone above and beyond and isn't showing signs of ever stopping.

If it isn't going to happen with the Democrats, who can we expect to actually put a hold on things. I"m starting to think it is true. The most important thing in the coming elections is reuniting those on the left and those in the middle who believe in a autonomy.

Instead, too many casual voters are further driven away from the whole political process because of the drama. Which, of course, is exactly what many elites want from the people of this country.

We're a Democratic Republic and there's a reason our founding fathers didn't trust the majority to lead this country. Too bad in this world of unprecedented access to knowledge we're still there....our government ensures too many are too hard off to worry about voting.

They're worried about tomorrow.
