The Kalkaji temple block from Janakpuri west of Delhi Metro's magenta line will start from next week. This will be the longest stretch in the third phase of Delhi Metro with 16 stations. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said in a statement that the Kalkaji temple Metro Corridor from Janakpuri West is 25.6 kilometers long. It will be flagged off by Union Home and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on May 28 by the Nehru Enclave. For people this service will start from 29

He said that after leaving the Metro with the green flag showing the Metro, the two dignitaries will travel from there to Hauzkhas on the first train. The passenger service of the Metro will start from next day.

All the 25 stations in this route are: Janakpuri West, Dabri Mund, Dasharath Puri, Palam, Sadar Bazar, Terminal 1 Indira Gandhi International Airport, Shankar Vihar, Vasant Vihar, Munirka, Ram Krishna Puram, IIT Delhi, Hauz Khas, Panchsheel Park, Chirag Delhi, Greater Kailash, Nehru Enclave, Kalkaji Temple, Okhla NSIC, Sukhdev Vihar, Jamia Millia Islamia, Okhla Vihar, Jasola Vihar Shahin Bagh, Kalin Mr. Bower, Okhla Bird Sanctuary, Botanical Garden.

With the commencement of this section, the operation will begin on 38.2 km long caridor between Janakpuri West and Botanical Gardens. In this line, the changing of Metro will be in Janakpuri West and Hauz Khas. Metro from Janakpuri west to Dwarka, Noida and Vaishali can be caught in the blue line and metro can be caught for hawkas from Hauzkhaas to Huda city center and timur bali.****

With this, the length of the Delhi Metro corridor will increase to 278 km, which has 202 stations. With the commencement of this section, the 88-kilometer stretch of the third phase will be run by Metro. Apart from this, the remaining 72 kilometer work is on the verge of completion.
