2 Year Ban For Shakib Al Hassan

Bangladesh cricket team's star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been banned for two years by the International Cricket Council. The ICC has given this ruling against Shakib for not being informed about being contacted for fixing. Shakib is the captain of Bangladesh T20 and Test team. He was to travel to India with three T20 series and two Test matches. The ICC prohibited him from practicing with the team even before he was sentenced.

The ICC has banned Shakib from playing all types of cricket. Shakib is banned for two years but has been suspended for one year. Giving information about the ban imposed on the Bangladeshi captain, the ICC said that it has been decided to impose a two-year ban on him, out of which only one year will be effective. Shakib has admitted violating the ICC's Anti Corruption Code on three occasions, due to which he was given a one-year sentence. The ICC has given detailed information about these three occasions.
