There have been many talks about IUC in the market for quite some time. There is a fierce battle between the country's big companies Airtel, Vodafone, Idea and Jio. This charge has to be given by one operator to another operator. This charge is given when a call is made from one operator to another. It is charged at the rate of 6 paise / minute. The delay will be charged to the operator as long as it is talked about. However, till now this charge was not being taken from the users. But now TRAI has announced the collection of IUC charge. Let us tell you that calls made between two operators are called off-net calling.
Due to Jio users' calling being free, other network users used to give them a missed call. Because of which Jio users had to call them. Due to this, the number of calls from Jio's network had increased a lot, due to which Relinace Jio suffered a lot of losses. However, even after this Jio was adamant on the decision not to implement the IUC. At the same time, TRAI was also not in favor of IUC. Airtel, Vodafone and Idea benefited greatly due to more calling from Jio's network as Jio itself was giving IUC charge to other operators. According to the information given on Jio's website, so far the company has paid an IUC charge of Rs 13,000 crore. At the same time, a fee of 200 crores is being paid per month. In such a situation, Jio had reduced the ringing time to 25 seconds during the calling.
