Pennsylvania skiers stranded, injured when lift malfunctions.

At least five people were hurt and an estimated 50 skiers stranded when a Pennsylvania ski resort's lift malfunctioned and caused chairs to crash.

The incident happened Saturday, Dec. 16 at Tussey Mountain, WJAC reports. The five who were hurt suffered minor injuries.

The resort posted on social media that the chair lift malfunctioned and apologized to patrons. The lift had recently passed inspections, the resort said in its message on Facebook.
